Q. What insurance do you accept?

It is important that each patient inquire with their insurance provider to learn about covered services. In general, insurance contracted through employers based in the state of Vermont will cover at least a portion of naturopathic care. This includes BCBS, MVP, Cigna and Medicaid if they are Vermont based plans . Many out of state insurance companies do not yet cover naturopathic medicine, but calling to ask is worthwhile. As of 2023, we are no longer accepting new Medicaid patients. Please check back at a later date to see if that has changed.

Acupuncture is a covered service with some, but not all, insurance companies. If you are receiving Acupuncture treatment, please call your insurance company to determine if services are covered. State of Vermont, Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield, University of Vermont Medical Center, and Middlebury College are major local employers who have included Acupuncture in their benefits package.

Unfortunately, Medicare does not yet cover naturopathic or acupuncture services.

PLEASE NOTE: The No Surprises Act requires offices to provide patients estimates of our cost of services within $400 of actual cost. We are happy to comply and want our communication to be exceptionally clear. We will provide you with a verbal estimate of costs when you call our office as well as a written notice of our fees. Patients paying out of pocket are eligible for a 10% discount off our rates when payment is made on the day of the service.

Q. How long is a visit?

New patient visits are approximately 45 minutes long. Follow up visits are scheduled for 25 minutes depending on a number of factors including medical necessity and the contractual agreements we have with insurance providers. These times reflect the time the physician is with you. The total time spent on your care also includes review of notes and coordination of care that extends beyond this time.

Q. Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, our office is accepting new patients with Dr. Anemone Fresh. Please give us a call to schedule.

Q. I live outside of vermont, can I still be your patient?

Our office currently offers telephone consultation services but please understand this service cannot offer the depth that our physicians can offer via a full office visit. Our providers cannot diagnose or treat formally via remote phone calls. This service will not be covered by insurance plans however many patients choose this option for convenience to avoid travel for care or to supplement their knowledge of integrative options. We may refer you to an appropriate provider in your area if one exists.
